Latching reed switches work by passing a magnetic or magnetic device across the contacts in a north to south or reverse direction. The magnetic will cause the contacts to latch in the closed or open position until a magnetic is passed with the poles in the opposite direction. Size glass enclosure approximate 1 1/8 inch.
